Pawame provides an affordable solar energy solution offered on microcredit and paid via mobile payments. We aim to address the challenge of electricity access in Sub-Saharan Africa, where electricity is out of reach for 650 million people and 70% of households have no access to power.

Our core product is the PawaHome solar home system which offers life changing features (lamps, mobile phone charging, etc.) at a cheaper price to current lighting alternatives (i.e. $14 per month) which are polluting and dangerous. In addition, our platform allows customers to upgrade to other life enhancing products and services such as televisions, home appliances, and microloans.

We currently operate in 14 counties in Kenya, including underserved counties such as Turkana, and have sold over 4,000 systems in 18 months since launching operations.

Pawame plans to expand to other countries in the region in 2018 in order to achieve our goal of attaining 120,000 active customers by 2020.



Key to Pawame’s sales enablement is the having a professionally trained Sales Workforce, able to efficiently implement top-down directives, quickly share knowledge amongst itself and constantly look for ways to improve on its shortcomings. Well thought-out, properly organized and comprehensive trainings are integral in this regard. As its principal trainer you will be in charge of gathering and carrying out training need analysis and creating, implementing and measuring impact of the training & development strategy.
